The Boys!

These are the loves of my life! Meet Nathan (the sultry one up top) and Isaac (baby blue beauty).

Nathan and I met at Calvary Chapel Vail Valley, he had just gotten into a snowboarding accident and was drumming for the church worship team. So being drawn by the brokenness of his arm I talked to him. I soon learned that Nathan is the most observant, considerate, hopeless romantic I have ever met. While at the same time, is a burly construction man that could demo a building within seconds. (Ladies he's already taken calm down) We got married within 10 months of knowing each other. WARNING: WE ARE MEGA NERDS. He proposed VIA Minecraft

So after the explosion of nerdism we created a beautiful baby boy who is a nerd in training. (He already has a MineCraft plush toy) 

Isaac Gabriel was born September 27th 2013, at home, with a midwife and doula. Yes ladies and gents the old-fashioned way. He has been a blessing in every way possible. Once he was born he slept at least 5 hours through the night and now sleeps through the nigh completely (please don't hate me other new mothers in the world). He smiles ridiculously often, no kidding here is some photo evidence! 

And last but not least: Yours Truly. 

New to motherhood, no way inferior or ashamed of it, I'm not your typical mom.  I find I get the funny look on the street that says: "Who's the pink haired girl with the baby?" I have always and a spunky side to me, I change my hair color or at least add to it on a bimonthly basis. I enjoy color, art and movement. I danced my way through high school and yogied my way through pregnancy and motherhood. I survived depression in 2010 and find myself battling through postpartum depression. All the while I hold onto the snippits of life that set me on fire, such as my sweet baby boy. The adventure of motherhood is grand, intimidating, exciting, terrifying and challenging but holy batman is it fun :)
